Lokon Volcano Trek

Mount Lokon is a volcano that is still active, which is approximately 1580 meters high or below sea level. This volcano is very popular in North Sulawesi, since the trek, which is very challenging to all travellers who like climbing and the beautiful panorama of the mountain.

On Mount Lokon there is a lake which is 60 meters deep and covered with yellow brimstone. The best time for you to begin this trek is at 8.00 a.m. or 9 a.m., so that you can spend more time or can reach the top of the mountain. Something very important to note is that during your trekking on the mountain, please do not make any noise like screaming or yelling. Believe it or not, this mountain is very mystical.

Our tour guide will pick you up in the morning after breakfast at the hotel. After that, you will go directly to Tomohon city, where you can begin your Lokon Trekking. But before that, you will drop for a while at the jungle market, where you can find dairy needs and some traditional food and snack. Soon after that, you will continue the trip to mount Lokon. You will be guided by a ranger there, so that you can pass through the easy way to the top of the mountain. It will take approximately 7 hours. Lunch will be served on lunch box. At the afternoon, you will go back to the hotel - Free program.
